4T 2018 - 2019

Miss Thelwell

4T have been reading the story "Stuck" by Oliver Jeffers, about a boy who gets his kite stuck in a tree and the amusing events which unfold afterwards. Students composed their own versions of the story and made a display of their work.

Summer Term fun in 4T
We asked the pupils in 4T to say what their highlights of this term have been.
Here is what they said:
“I enjoyed the Summer Fair. It is my favourite day. My Mum won the jewellery raffle and I won a bag.”
“I have enjoyed quick cricket in PE lessons because I hadn’t played it in a long time and I can still play it really well. One time, I even caught the ball under my chin!”
“At Runcorn I have enjoyed doing the litter picking, walking outside in the fresh air is nice. I also like to help people by clearing up after everyone has eaten their lunch in the café.”
“We took part in Science Day. There were lots of experiments. In class we made a volcano and some gloop. We also got to make pop rockets out of lemonade and mentos and some of us even dressed up as a scientist!”
In addition to all this, our Year 11s all did brilliantly well in their Work Experience placements at St Wilfrid’s School, Mid-Cheshire College Library and Daneside Court care home and are looking forward to joining Sixth Form in September.
